2009 Jamis Nova Pro

This is my first new bike in a long time! I have been looking into getting a new road bike, but once I did a cross race I was hooked! Plus, just throwing a couple of different parts on this bike will make it a perfect training and group ride bike!

Key Features:

  • Jamis 7005 Aluminum frame w/Carbon seat stays
  • Full Carbon cross fork
  • Shimano 105 gruppo
  • FSA Vero Cross compact crankset 36t/46t
  • Ritchey seatpost, stem, and tires
  • San Marco Ponza Power saddle

2010 Jerkfish Cycling Carbon 1

This bike came about when the chainstay on my Dakar XC Sport broke and I needed another bike to ride.  I took the chance and bought this frame straight from China and have had no complaints at all!  The full bike weighs in at about 22 pounds and it really proves that carbon and light wheels are truly the only way to go for racing!

Key Features:

    • Full Carbon Frame
    • RockShox SID Race Fork
    • Mavic Crossmax SL UST Wheelset
    • SRAM X.9 Shifters
    • Shimano XT Dyna-Sys 10-sp Front Derailleur
    • SRAM X.7 10-sp Rear Derailleur
    • Shimano XTR Brake Cables
    • Jagwire Shift Cables
    • KMC 10-speed Chain
    • Crank Brothers Candy C pedals
    • Large assortment of tires including Kenda Small Block Eight and Nevegal
    • ODI Ruffian Grips
    • Specialized Carbon Composite water bottle cage

1996 Cannondale R400

My good buddy Marc gave me this bike since I was using my mountain bike for training on the road. (and the fact that he got a shiny new Specialized Tarmac!) I’ve put thousands of training miles on this bike since then and can be seen about 3 times per week out in the streets.

Key Features:

  • All original RSX components!
  • Crank Brothers Eggbeaters SL pedals
  • Easton EA50 Stem
  • FSA Oversized Bars
  • Selle Italia Gel Flow Saddle

2010 Specialized S-Works MTB Shoe

My nice new (again) shoes! I got these shoes as a warranty replacement for my 2009 S-Works MTB shoes when some liner delaminated and was causing pressure to build on top of my toes.  These will be mainly my road shoes, but will occasionally be called up for dry XC racing duty.  It just hurts me to get a pair of shoes that look so cool (and cost so much) dirty!

Northwave Raptor SBS MTB Shoe

I picked these up at the end of this season’s XC season as my old Shimanos were suffering from a sole that wanted to fall off! For the money, I’d have to say that the carbon sole and step by step ratchet make these shoes a fantastic deal! I’m still dialing in the fit, but with the fall riding season upon us they are getting frequent workouts!

2008 Giro Atmos Road Helmet

My first high-end helmet, this has been great to wear and the color helps me make a statement; Pink is the new black!  The WindTunnel vents really help to pull the hot air out of the helmet and with it’s carbon fiber inner skeleton it weights nearly nothing!

2010 Giro Athlon MTB Helmet

I bought this helmet through the Giro/Bell sponsorship of EXPO Wheelmen.  I’m really excited to have a full-race mountain helmet!  The visor will help to deflect branches and will keep the sun out of my eyes which (hopefully this year) will make racing just a little bit faster!  I didn’t order “team colors” and caused a big commotion, but it does match my ‘cross bike really nicely!
